Our Story

Madison Resources was built from firsthand experience inside the staffing industry. Our founder, Lenny Tierney, began his career in staffing, where he saw the constant challenge agencies face, meeting payroll while waiting on client payments, all while trying to grow.

Recognizing the need for a better solution, Lenny founded Madison Resources in 1992, helping pioneer what would become the staffing funding industry. From the start, the focus was simple: provide reliable funding and operational support so staffing firms could take on new opportunities without being constrained by cash flow.

Over the past three decades, that mission has remained the same. Madison has partnered with staffing firms nationwide, helping them navigate growth, manage risk, and build stronger, more scalable businesses through payroll funding and back-office support.

Today, more than 34 years later, Madison Resources continues under the leadership of Lenny’s two sons, Jonathan and Tyler Tierney. In an industry that has seen increasing consolidation by large financial institutions, they remain committed to preserving what has made Madison different, independence, long-term relationships, and a deep understanding of the staffing industry.

As the business continues to grow, Jonathan and Tyler are focused on deepening those long-term relationships, aligning with trusted industry partners, and investing in leadership to support the continued growth of the firms we serve.
