Trade Show Follow-Ups (Part 3 of 3)
Now back in the office and shuffling through all of the materials that you collected at the Trade Show, it’s time to get organized and put everything that you learned into practice. These events can send you into an information overload. So take it step-by-step to integrate your experience into office life and your firm’s methodology.
#1 Connect on Social Media
Take a good look at all of the business cards that you collected. Connect with everyone on LinkedIn as well as any corresponding social media platforms. Whether or not you directly spoke with them or are intentionally planning on using their services, staying connected is a good idea. Make sure to reach out on your personal as well as your company pages and platforms. Once you’ve connected on LinkedIn, it’s a good idea to invite them to follow your company’s LinkedIn page.
#2 Share your Notes and Takeaways with your team
Be sure to share your takeaways from your time with your team. This can include newly learned recruiting tips, future recruiting trends to help you get ahead of the crowd, or services that you think could be beneficial to your staffing agency.
#3 Follow up with Emails
If your staffing agency has been looking into a new service that you feel could be a good fit with one of the booths that you stopped by, be sure to follow up with an email. Refer back to any conversation that you may have had with them. If you never got the chance to speak and just got their information, send them an email to set up a call to discuss their product or service further.
Take your time integrating everything you learned at the Trade Show into your work back in the office. With the right preparation, staying on top of your schedule, and a solid organization process upon returning, your experience at a Trade Show will be a productive and informative experience.
